I think I got Zombies on my brain

So my Dreams have been weird lately. One of them was a portent of things to come, and the other, equally as fantastic, less likely to happen.

So I'm in this comedy club and I'm about to perform for the kings of comedy. They rule comedy nationally don't you know?I start off outside and I'm doing Marvin Summers voice. Will he be showing up tonight? Who knows. Anyway, When I get in they say I need a comedy partner. And this is what I've been saying for a while now. What should I do. It is then they show me into the green room and there is Emma Stone who agrees to be my comedy partner just like that. It's an awesome day and I tell her we are going to be the next big thing.

We go out in front of the kings of comedy and I have only seen two of them before. One of them was that weird hermaphrodite guy from The Gentleman Broncos, and the other is John Goodman who's got long grey hair and weird mingy teeth. Anyway hermaphrodite guy (I think it's Hector Jimenez) says we are going to hit it big time after we do this hilarious improvised sketch about a couple paying themselves alimony. Then we are taken around the corner where John Goodman is sitting and he pronounces our efforts a success imitating an old, fat, Marlon Brando.

That was when I woke up with the most exhilarated feeling and couldn't get the dream out of my head.

The other dream I had was holding fort in an abandoned house surrounded by Zombies with only these two vicious knives. I was one of 6 people in the sitting room as all the windows burst in and I had to defend myself.

Yeah I know I know, Emma Stone may never be my comedy partner but I've got the Zombie Apocalypse to look forward to eh?

I need to just hurry and finish reading World War Z.

Update on vegetarianism.

I have been a flexible vegetarian for 3 weeks now. It took me a while to get started but it seemed like such a big thing for me that I just didn't know where to start.

First of all, I say flexible vegetarian as I will eat meat if we are somewhere that might require me to eat it. e.g family function or some such thing. And, as someone pointed out to me in an article, bacon is many a vegetarians downfall. It could very well be mine. I'm feeling great about my food choices recently. They are not great all the time, but they have been meat free. And while I can't say that I won't eat meat once in while I do know that i'm making health conscious decisions. Now if only I could give up some of the deserts.

I had my Birthday in March and one of the things I got was Nava Atlas' vegetarian 5-ingredient gourmet cookbook. I really like it. It has led me to some new meal favorites such as Quinoa and broccoli casserole and Peanut butter noodles. The last one is not as grim as it sounds and has a really nice blend of teryaki and honey and peanut butter.

For the most part these first forays into the book have been really simple and I've enjoyed reading through and following the directions and then sitting down to enjoy the meals. It's been a process thing. But, it's all a process thing. I'm excited for newer recipes(I've seen some on The Vegan adventures of Meggie and Ben that I want to try.) and following this more health conscious direction I'm going in.

Updates on previous X-related posts

So It's been a while since I posted and I have a ton of things to say, but I'm gonna break it all up into relevant posts.

X-Men: First Class: Saw the trailer. I really liked it. Still have same reservations but now I'm excited for Banshee. Here's two reasons why.

Surprise Sunrise

One morning last month I woke up unable to go back to sleep (this is happening more often. I'm feeling a restlessness that I'm wasting my time on sleep when I could be doing thing's I need to or want to do). Amy had been up a few times with Tessa and I had put Riley back to bed after I heard him crying at whatever time in the early hours it was.

I walked into our dark living room at about 6:30 and the kitchen counter was glowing red. I took some pictures and then opened our blinds and took some more.
